We are happy to announce a new major revenue driver to our Rich Media capabilities with the launch of Full Screen ad units! Now more than ever advertisers are looking to elevate the in-app advertising experience and we are here to help you make money from it. Our Full Screen unit brings the advertising experience to a whole new level: seamless, high-impact, engaging advertisements served to your users at the right time.

Benefits:

  • Maximized Revenue – Rich Media ads generate 3.5X higher revenue than Standard Display.
  • Quality Experience – High quality advertisements that elevate the app experience.
  • Higher Engagement – Users are more engaged which leads to more revenue.

Why Full Screen?

Rich media is going to be a monumental revenue driver in 2011 for in-app advertising. The reason? Impact. Big brands with even bigger marketing dollars are pushing for innovative ways to engage with video and simply put, rich media is the best way to do so.

Our latest SDK is packed with robust rich media capabilities and the bulk of these rich media ads will be served through our newest ad unit, the Full Screen Interstitial (think of ‘Trenta’ in Starbucks terms). This 320×480 size unit gives advertisers the space they crave to send high impact messages to users and gives developers the opportunity to bring a rich ad experience to their apps. The ad unit is served in-app, the user is never ‘kicked out’, and the user can ‘opt out’ at anytime (see demo here). Also, this new technology allows the developer to automatically pre-load the advertisement so there is no ‘lag time’ for the user.

How do I take advantage?

It’s pretty easy. Just download our new 4.3 SDK and place the Full Page ad unit in your app just like you do with 320×50 and 300×250 units.

When adding the unit, make sure you have a strategy in place to ensure maximum efficiency. Based on what we’ve seen, it’s best suited to serve during loading screens, in between levels, or after your user has completed a task. This usually garners a higher CTR as the user is more inclined to engage after completing an action within the application or at a ‘natural’ break. If you’d like some advice based on where others are finding success, shoot us a note, we’d be happy to help.

Make sure you check out our demo here to see it in action!
